We were invited to a wedding in Washington so we decided to make a road trip out of it and go all the way up to Lynden. It's nearly to the border of Canada. It is a wonderful town that I can see us living in. I love going there. This is our 3rd time since Ron and I have been married. It is rich in the Dutch heritage, so we fit right in. ;)
Rich and Coni were so wonderful in opening up their home to us. Coni made the most wonderful dinners and the kids were SO happy to have bagels and fruit for breakfast. (They LOVE bagels)!
Rich made it home the last night we were there. We were so happy to have some time with both of them before we left. The kids LOVED Coni and thought Rich was funny! He made the kids laugh. Especially TJ.
So with huge hearts we thank you so much Rich and Coni for opening up you home to us. Coni you were wonderful with the kids and especially TJ. He is now trying more than ever to say new words. :)
While we were in Lynden (July 31st) Ron and I celebrated our ten, yes, 10 year anniversary! We didn't have time to ourselves and still haven't even had a date to celebrate but it is okay and we are happy to have made it ten whoppin years. Coni made a wonderful steak dinner that we got to enjoy!! That was better than any restaurant meal we could've had!
In down town Lynden by he big windmill. This is where I got my Klompen. (wooden shoes).
So, a very long story to getting to the wedding. Ferry issues, getting lost, wrong exits, accidental exits and many other things, we made it to the reception of the wedding. Well, the very end of the reception. But we made it. Here are the girls with the bride and groom. Stephen and Kari. (Kari has been Kaelyn's teacher for 2 yrs and will be Madelyn's teacher this coming year if she is at SCS. Stephen was the music teacher at SCS two yrs ago. He was awesome! And she is a wonderful, wonderful teacher!!)
