It took us at least 45 minutes to an hour to get through the parking line and park. We spent at least another hour in line waiting just to get our tickets at the booth to get into the park. Disneyland on a given day sees in the one park alone 32,000. A worker at Sea World with a look of disbelief, " I have worked here over 13 years and never has it ever been close to this busy". Another worker with a shocked expression, "We usually average 15,000. Yeah this is BUSY!" The walk to and from a few areas were literally baby-steppin it constantly reminding the girls NOT to let go of my shirt, hand, or belt loop due to the massive congestion of thousands of people all in that area while looking back to Ron 20 feet back trying to communicate that I had this or that child. Shows were full and no longer allowing anymore to come in, and all day. So we got to show areas a good 45 minutes ahead to still see them 3/4 full.
HOWEVER, being that we were sick the previous day (Nora to ER for strep and Brooke practically kissing the porcelain throne half the night because of heat stroke), we had no choice but to go on that Saturday, opening day for Shamu's new show One Ocean. With all that being said it was SO much fun. We didn't get to any of the rides they had except the tower one where you ride to the top of a high pole and spin around slowly. It was cool, but man, we needed way more time. I would have loved to go back. I want to go back. Not sure that I have said that yet in my vacation posts. lol!
The Dolphin show Blue Horizons was by far the BEST show of the day. Here are a few pictures from mine and mom w's camera. This first photo is from up in the tower ride thing. Photo of the Shamu show arena and orca's pools for before and after the shows.
Waiting for the show. 30 minutes till show time.
"Soak Zone"
The kind of picture you get while half watching the show and half manning the camera.
Spitting at the crowd.

After the dolphin show
Kids with the dolphin show people
These large pics are from my cell phone, so not the best but my camera died earlier in the day. And yes, we were THAT close. We got a tad wet!

Photo op by the Sea World car. Yes the orange blur is TJ.

Jim and Nora after the show.
Hooping it up. Good dolphin. ;)
The cutest shot ever.
Those are just a handful of hundreds of pictures that we took at Sea World. We were so fascinated by the animals and the creation of them. Beautiful!
