In April we celebrated Madelyn's 9th birthday. We have had an amazing 9 years with her. She is such a prayer warrior for her family and her friends. This is something that sticks out with me SO much with Madelyn when I think of her qualities. She is amazing.
Since we didn't get a chance to celebrate Brooke with a party for her and her friends we all agreed on a joint sleepover. It was so much fun. The girls made their own homemade pizzas, jeweled bracelets, watched movies and had a delicious breakfast and ended with an hour at the park.
All the girls that came to celebrate.
Madelyn and her best friend Bridget. Brookelyn and her friend Lydia.
Ashley, Nyah and Lili with the dough color of choice- PINK.
Brookelyn, Lydia, Kyonna and Brinley with their color of dough-PURPLE!
I think that they all had a nice time. I know that we enjoyed it, all in all I think from now on we will keep the bdays separate if doing a sleepover. But it went very well and we enjoyed seeing and hearing the kids laugh, talk and play.
Thank you all who celebrating in becoming more aware of autism. You are incredible. Thanks again for enduring a painful year of posts. April 9th marked one year from the first time we had been approached by a professional regarding the red flag they were seeing in TJ for autism. It was a downward spiral for many months. I love and adore each of you that have patiently been by our side, (mostly me) through the tears and pain of it all. And those of you who pray/ed for us. We are feeling so much more in control about the realities of autism. Again and again, thanks to all of you for loving us. And loving us right where we are.
Keep watch for my next post (like within hours) for a giveaway of a few Scentsy products!!
