Kaelyn our oldest recently transferred to my and Ron's graduating Alma mater, SA. Our little girl is now a Crusader. She has been so happy in the past week. She has reunited with a few old friends, made new friends and even has a girl in her class that she played basketball with.
We realize that after much debate that we, together with her have made the right decision to move her here a half year early. Her teacher was incredible and SO very kind and loving. So why would we pull her? We weighed SO much on moving her. She is a young 5th grader and was in a blended class of 5-7th graders. She was having a hard time. There was a sense of pressure since Ron is on the board, the school is the smallest it has ever been and we have been a part of the school for 7 years. The decision was not taken lightly. When we put everything aside, but her and her education, her wants, needs and what we felt was best, God opened doors and answered our prayers. We are feeling SO blessed although there is a lot of wondering why we have pulled two kids from a school we absolutely LOVE! I can't say more, other than we did what we felt God was opening up doors for us to do. That is the best we can do.
We now have all four kids in three different schools. (TJ is very part time in specialized preschool at same school as Brooke). All very different with their own strengths and weaknesses. The kids all have wonderful teachers and they are all right where they belong.
With Christmas vast approaching please remember to pray for your child/rens school, the teachers, aides, administrators, board members, and most importantly our child/rens friends. Each of these people are crucial to our child's growth in so many areas of their life.
