Christmas 101

Have fun. Enjoy one another. Eat lots. Remember the real reason for celebrating Christmas.

The kids with Santa. He is a great friend of the family has has been coming for several years now. Kids think it's fun.

Kids Christmas morning. We woke up late and had a half an hour to open gifts so we could get ready for Christmas morning service. We hadn't been  for a few years. We were so glad that we made it. 

The girls and I with our new fur lines hoodies. This was a fun gift.  

Tj helping me open my new sewing box. (Is that what it's called?)  ;) I made beanbags as my first project. Total blast. 

Christmas was fun this year as we celebrated with extended family, the Edwards side, then with my family a few days before Christmas.

Samee and my sister with her Adidas outfits and Gap sweatshirt I got her. My two favorite places to find baby/kids clothes for a bargain. Merry 1st Christmas sweet niece. 

Mom has always wanted a coach purse, and purple is her favorite color.  

The kids eating their homemade pudding/whip cream desserts. Glad they had this. More of moms handmade pies for us. 

 We had Jim and Nora out for our annual lunch and gifts. With so many grand kids its really a personalized time for them to have with each family. We received and gave some neat things and had fun laughing and watching Walle with Tj. ;)

That evening we headed over to Jim and Nora's for Cmas dinner with the whole family. It was fun to see the kids playing with one another.

We kept things pretty low key as Ron went hunting several times and the girls and I worked on several crafts. We have had fun with bead projects that you create and melt into stain glass window hangs, coloring pillowcases, Kaelyn learned to crochet from my grandma, and we have had fun with beans bags. It is fun to be getting into crafts as the girls love it more than big toys, gifts, and going off to places. Simple pleasures.
These are truly my favorite pictures of Christmas. Kaelyn with Great Grandma. Great Grandma with Santa. What a blessing that she gets to know her great gma. Also several of the grandkids on the Dunn side were able to come see Gma in her nursing home when the Santa visited. TJ pushed gma in her wheelchair saying "speed racer" and sat on her poor lap for quite some time. We are truly blessed to have both of our great gmas alive and doing good.
