Christmas morning is always super fun here at our house. We get up and open gifts, have breakfast and read and talk about The Christmas Story. Brookelyn got roller skates and the game Hullabaloo, Maddy got roller blades and an MP3 player, Kaelyn got Knex and an MP3 player, TJ got Thomas the Train stuff and a Hunter Dan jeep.
The kids were so excited and were patient as they waited for Ron and I to get out of bed. They organized the gifts and were ready to open. They each had 3 gifts. It was fun to watch them open them and enjoy them.
We spent for the first time in a long time Christmas Eve evening with my parents. It was nice to have them over for dinner and a few games with the kids. We had the greatest time ever and there was no rushing. We enjoyed each others company and had some great laughs. The game whoonu by Cranuim is one of the greatest kid friendly family games. If you don't have it yet, buy it for your child's next b-day. Anyway, what a great Christmas!
P.S. TJ surgery went really well. He has been a little fussy, but that really isn't anything but normal. He seems to be louder. ?? Hmmm! He had no current or active infection when the Dr put the tubes in. So that is good. No drops or anitbiotics were needed. Another good thing. We are now just patiently waiting to see what his hearing test results are on the 13th and how long it will be before he starts chattering away with real words. Yay!
Thanks for all the prayers during yet another tough fall/winter for us. It is greatly appreciated.
